Evergreen Civil subcontracted Melbourne Protective Coatings (MPC) to protect, seal, and paint 300 metres of newly installed guardrails along Jumping Creek Rd in Wonga Park. In addition to these new guardrails, we also applied a fresh coating to the existing bridge railing, ensuring consistency and long-term protection from the elements.
Given their exposure to varying weather conditions, the guardrails required a durable and high-quality exterior metal coating solution. Our goal was to enhance their lifespan while maintaining a professional and cohesive appearance. Proper surface preparation was crucial, especially for the existing bridge railing, which had accumulated dirt and environmental buildup over time.
To ensure the safety of workers and road users, External Traffic Management was implemented throughout the project. This allowed for a controlled and secure worksite while minimising disruption to traffic flow along Jumping Creek Rd.
